Appointments

I’m happy to offer a variety of appointments, including evenings and week-ends. To make an appointment, please call me at 614.893.5603 or send an e-mail. My primary office is located at 37 E. Wilson Bridge Road, Suite 270, Worthington, Ohio 43085.

Confidential voice mail messages can be left anytime at 614.893.5603.  You are welcome to contact me between sessions if a need arises and I will return your phone call at my earliest opportunity, generally the same day.

I am not equipped as a crisis intervention office. If a life-threatening or other crisis situation arises, please take the following steps: 1. Call Netcare at (614) 276-2273 or dial 911 or your local police and 2. call/leave me a message to make me aware of the situation

At your first session, please fill out and bring with you the Client Information Sheet and Health Insurance Questions Guide. This will speed up the inevitable paperwork. Please also feel free to bring a list of questions and concerns. The counselor-client relationship is extremely important and I consider it an honor and a privilege to be chosen to walk with you in this journey.

I see each client as a unique person created by God and I want to connect with them where they are. Some refer to this as a psychodynamic approach. I utilize a variety of skills and tools including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), coaching, relaxation and visualization. I am a faith-based counselor and my personal faith in Jesus Christ is reflected in my counseling approach and style.

Confidentiality is of utmost importance and belongs to you.  I adhere to the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, Marriage & Family Therapist Board of professional standards regarding confidentiality.  I will only release information to someone else with your written permission. Ohio statutes require me to notify the appropriate people if I believe you are a danger to yourself or someone else.

Fees

I’ve been on the other side of the couch and I know the financial commitment it takes to make positive changes in your life. That’s why it’s my earnest desire to make counseling affordable for you, while still keeping a roof over my head. My fee is $100 per 50 minute session. For those who can’t afford $100, there is a sliding fee scale that goes as low as $40. Each client determines how much they are able to pay. Those clients who are able to pay the higher fees make it possible for others to afford the help they need.

I am happy to bill your insurance company. Feel free to use this Health Insurance Questions guide when talking to your insurance company and bring it to your first appointment. If you would rather I call them, just ask when you schedule your appointment. I am an in-network provider for Medical Mutual of Ohio and out-of-network for everybody else.
